FingerPrint Scanner was a KSP feature for the launch of HTC One (Sense 7). Getting the onboarding flow just right was the result of tight collaboration between UX, Copy, Visual Design, Motion Design, User Research, Engineering and Product Management as well as frequent and quick iteration.

Such is the pace of technology that the notion that using a fingerprint to unlock your phone seems quaint. Many mobile devices have abandoned fingerprint in favor of face recognition. However, with the need to wear masks in public these days, I wonder if fingerprint reader will make a return to glory, or perhaps we’ll just invent something else?
